Dervio owes its particular conoid shape to Varro. Stream that cuts the town itself in two and originates from the homonymous Valvarrone. During its incessant course it has eroded and transported rocky sediments, which gradually settled on the bottom of the lake, until they emerged and formed the Dervie peninsula.
