In Sardinia Island Tours we are certified tourist guides of Sardinia and the Maddalena National Park
What does Sardinia Island Tours mean
The Maddalena archipelago is one of the hidden gems in Sardinia and is steeped in beauty and intrigue. We'd love to show you around, so your experience here is truly magical! Our company based in Palau is young and fresh.
In 2015, we noticed that something was missing here: a facility to visit this special area that was pleasant, friendly and clearly explained, not just a simple transport to the islands.
We have started Sardinia island tours to offer you a personal experience of our archipelago that is inviting, engaging and full of local knowledge and charm. We are happy to tell you the story behind each place, the culture that shaped our world and the individual nuances that make your visit memorable.
Each of our teams has grown here. During our youth we took family boat trips to the islands, we learned to swim in the Maddalena archipelago and therefore we are deeply interested in treating it with kindness. Being green and minimizing the impact on this fragile ecosystem is critical to our service.
During our boat tours, you will receive a warm and friendly welcome. We share useful tips on how to interact with nature in the La Madalena Archipelago National Park in order to respect and preserve indigenous wildlife and marine life. The balance of the local ecosystem allows sustenance for all.
Who am I
My name is Kevin, I was born on this incomparably beautiful island. My mother is a true Sardinian who comes from a long lineage of Sardinian natives. My father is from the United States. He was assigned to the La Maddalena Navy Base during his time in the United States Navy and fell in love with Sardinia so much that he ended up staying here for 40 years.
I have always lived in Palau (the gateway to the archipelago), apart from a short period of my life that took my family to the United States and during my university days in Perugia, Umbria, where I earned a Master in Science of communication. But Sardinia has always attracted me home and I decided to dedicate my career to sharing the other wonders of Sardinia with others. After graduating, I returned to Sardinia knowing that it was where I wanted to live for the rest of my life and I turned my passion for my home into a full time job.
I started working in the tourism sector in 1996, eventually joining the local tourism board of Sardinia for four years before realizing my dream and opening Sardinia Island Tours. I've always loved living here. It's a relaxed, simple and healthy kind of life with everything you could ever need: good food, stunning scenery, mild temperatures, stunning beaches and the perfectly blue Mediterranean Sea. There is so much to discover here in Sardinia. I know that I will never tire of snorkeling in the sea, trekking in the picturesque countryside, eating phenomenal food and climbing the 300.000.000-year-old granite that frames these fantastic sceneries. I invite you to join me in exploring this part of Sardinia and the rich experiences our beautiful island has to offer.
